Sand beneath your feet, the endless horizon, and the feeling of being able to simply dive right in—it's only logical that a place as special as St. Peter-Ording is not only a wonderful vacation destination, but that its unique flair also inspires musicians to create new works.
It all started years ago with Johannes Oerding. Many of his songs were written at the StrandGut Resort. We have since become a real home away from home for him and many other musician friends, and we have developed a very special friendship with all of them. The evenings (and nights) when one or the other of them took over the bar and mixed a few drinks together with our crew also remain unforgettable.
Anyway, now the musicians come not only for the good drinks, but also to give a small, intimate live concert once a year at our StrandGut Sessions on Germany's most beautiful natural stage. The following artists will be performing in 2026: Johannes Oerding, Wincent Weiss, Max Giesinger, Beyond the Black, and Wolfgang Niedecken (BAP) with his band. Our popular Family Day for young and old with free admission will also take place again – Wilhelmine and Lina Bó are already confirmed as the first acts.
About Wolfgang Niedecken (BAP) with band
One of Germany's greatest artists will be performing with his band for a unique, very special evening that has never been seen before. A must-see for all Niedecken & BAP fans. After Wolfgang Niedecken played a selection of songs from his solo program “Dylanreise & zwischen Start und Ziel” together with pianist Mike Herting at the StrandGut Sessions in 2024, he will be back in 2026 with a large ensemble. This time with songs from his huge repertoire, with which he and his band BAP are going on their 50th anniversary tour “Die Zielgerade” (The Home Stretch). Of course, all the classics and hits will be there – ballads such as “Du kanns zaubre” and “Paar Daach fröher” to rock songs such as “Nemm mich met,” “Waschsalon,” and, of course, “Verdamp lang her.”
