What are the different types of rooms at the StrandGut Resort?

Basically, there are two different types of rooms available at the StrandGut Resort: double rooms and suites. Double rooms are available with a view of the town (land view), with a side beach view and with a direct sea view. With the suites you can also choose between with a land view, beach view or sea view.

How do the beach view rooms differ from the sea view rooms?

Beach view means that you have a side view of the sea. With sea view, you enjoy a direct, frontal view of the North Sea.

Is there a kettle in the room?

In our lobby there is a tea counter with delicious, hot ORGANIC tea from the lifestyle company SAMOVA that you can help yourself to. Alternatively, you are welcome to borrow a kettle for your room from reception.

How much does an extra bed or cot cost and can the rooms be made up for 4 people?

Two double rooms connected by a door offer enough space for families with children. Double rooms with a land, beach and sea view are available. As we only have a limited number of these rooms available, we recommend booking them early. An extra bed costs €15 per day / A cot costs €5 per day.

How often are the rooms cleaned?

Good for the environment: your room is cleaned every two days.

Is the breakfast buffet included in the room rate?

Our room rates do not include our substantial breakfast buffet. You are welcome to book breakfast for € 27.69 per person. Breakfast costs just €13.35 per day for our younger guests aged up to and including 11.

What are the costs for a parking space at the StrandGut Resort?

StrandGut has plenty of parking spaces. A limited number of them are right by the hotel and subject to a fee. These parking spaces cost €9 per day. Additional parking spaces are available free of charge approx. 300 m away. Please bear in mind that advance reservations are not possible.

When can we occupy the room and when do we have to check out?

On the day of arrival, your room will be ready for occupancy from 3 p.m. On the day of departure you may stay in your room until 11 a.m.

Can we check into the room earlier on the day of arrival and/or check out later on the day of departure?

Please note your requests regarding a different check-in and/or check-out time when booking or speak to our staff at reception on the day of arrival. However, due to the popularity of our hotel, we may not be able to take your requests into account. We do apologise for any inconvenience.

How much is the visitor’s tax?

The prices for the visitor’s tax vary by season. They basically range from €1 to €3 per day. Children aged up to 18 accompanied by their parents are exempt from the visitor’s tax.

What additional costs should I expect during my stay at the StrandGut Resort?

For your stay in St. Peter-Ording you need a visitor’s card, which is charged per day. The additional costs vary depending on which offers you would like to take advantage of during your stay at the StrandGut Resort. For example, entrance fee to the Dünen-Therme spa, parking fee etc.

Can I reserve a parking space for my car?

Due to the limited number of spaces, we are unable to reserve parking spaces. We do apologise for any inconvenience.

Is there a wellness area at the StrandGut Resort?

Yes, our hotel has direct access to the “Dünen-Therme” spa next door. This gives you the opportunity to use the 6,500 sqm wellness, swimming pool and sauna area really conveniently in the comfort of your bathrobe. As a guest of the StrandGut Resort, you are also entitled to a discounted admission fee (-20%) for the Dünen-Therme spa.

What is the admission fee for the Dünen-Therme spa?

Can we borrow bathrobes at the StrandGut Resort or do we have to bring them with us?

You can hire bathrobes for free from our reception.

When is the Dünen-Therme spa open?

Is the StrandGut Resort open all year round?

Yes, we are open all year round and are available 24 hours a day.

What does written confirmation mean? Do I have to write a conventional letter?

A short email is sufficient for confirmation.

Until when does free cancellation of my reservation apply?

Free cancellation is possible at the StrandGut Resort until 2 (7) days before arrival at the latest, depending on the booked rate. After that we charge 80% of the booked rate.

Which means of payment are accepted at the StrandGut Resort?

We accept all common means of payment, such as cash, EC card, Mastercard & Visa card.

What leisure activities can I enjoy in the area around the StrandGut Resort?

During your stay at the StrandGut Resort, there are numerous possibilities for leisure activities. Water sports such as stand-up paddling or kite surfing are particularly popular. You can find many more tips for your leisure activities in St. Peter-Ording here.

Can I bring my dog with me to stay at the StrandGut Resort?

Yes, your pets are very welcome here! We charge €20 per night for your pet. If you book a suite with us, we add a €45 one-off cleaning fee.

Where can I book surfing lessons?

Surfing lessons can be booked at the XH2O water sports centre. You can find an overview of the water sports centre’s offers here.

Are there charging points for electric cars?

Yes, the StrandGut Resort has several charging points subject to a charge (no public charge station). Our colleagues at reception will be happy to show you how to use them.
