Sand beneath your feet, the endless horizon and the feeling of simply being able to dive right in - it's only logical that a special place like St. Peter-Ording is not only a wonderful place to spend a holiday, but that the special flair also inspires one or two musicians to create new works.
It all started years ago with Johannes Oerding. Many of his songs were written at the StrandGut Resort. In the meantime, we have become a real second home for him and many other musician friends and maintain a very special friendship with all of them. The evenings (and nights) when one or two of them took over the bar themselves and mixed a few drinks with our crew are also unforgettable.
However, the musicians now not only come for the good drinks, but also to give a small, intimate live concert once a year at our StrandGut Sessions on the most beautiful natural stage in Germany. In recent years, we have already welcomed the following artists to our StrandGut Sessions: Wincent Weiss, Johannes Oerding, Max Giesinger, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Wingenfelder, Wolfgang Niedecken (BAP) and many more.
About Frida Gold
Frida Gold - a name that evokes melodies. ‘Wovon sollen wir träumen’, “Liebe ist meine Rebellion” - songs that have inscribed themselves in the collective pop memory. Platinum, gold, big stages, tours through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. But more important than numbers and statistics is the resonance: music that doesn't fade because it hits a nerve.
Now a new chapter begins. ‘Neuer Tag’, released in February 2025, is not a break, but a cautious renewal. A song about healing, the courage to start over and the art of staying true to yourself while changing. It is the prelude to a series of releases - songs, EPs, an album - and at the same time a commitment to artistic autonomy. With the founding of their own label ‘Haus aus Gold’ in collaboration with Kontor New Media, Frida Gold are focussing on independence.
Andi Weizel and Alina Süggeler come from the Ruhr region, an area that never vies loudly for attention, but makes sure that people stay. They don't want to explain the world, they want to keep it open - for all those who move between longing and reality. This summer in St. Peter-Ording, with old and new songs. Maybe for dancing, maybe for pausing. Either would be nice.
