StrandGut Sessions: Open Air at StrandGut Resort St. Peter-Ording

Sand beneath your feet, the endless horizon and the feeling of simply being able to dive right in - it's actually logical that a special place like St. Peter-Ording is not only a wonderful place to spend a holiday, but that the special flair also inspires one or two musicians to create new works.

It all started years ago with Johannes Oerding. Many of his songs were written at the StrandGut Resort. In the meantime, we have become a real second home for him and many other musician friends and maintain a very special friendship with all of them. The evenings (and nights) when one or two of them took over the bar themselves and mixed a few drinks with our crew are also unforgettable.

However, the musicians now not only come for the good drinks, but also to give a small, intimate live concert once a year at our StrandGut Sessions on the most beautiful natural stage in Germany. We have already welcomed the following artists to our StrandGut Sessions in recent years: Wincent Weiss, Johannes Oerding, Max Giesinger, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Wingenfelder, Wolfgang Niedecken (BAP) and many more.

Our artists this year

We start on Sunday, 24 August 2025, with a Festival Day for the whole family with music and entertainment. Admission is free on this day!

On Monday, you can look forward to Revolverheld, who will be taking a break for the first time in their career after their upcoming arena tour. This will be one of the last opportunities to see the successful Hamburg band live! Beforehand, the wonderful indie pop artist WIM will enchant you with her light-footed, melancholy songs and clever, poetic lyrics.

On Tuesday, you can look forward to Florian Künstler, whose warm songs will give you courage and comfort in difficult times. With his authentic and charming manner, he creates very special moments in the audience.

On Wednesday, Stefanie Heinzmann will be joining us with her Tiny Fonks. Since Stefanie won TV entertainer Stefan Raab's talent show in 2008 with her unmistakable vocals, she has had an impressive career. Stefanie Heinzmann has already released six albums and won numerous awards for them. Lina Bó, whose Rhenish-Cuban temperament meets Danish Flensburg serenity, will be the opening act. The songs are sometimes melancholic, sometimes danceable, full of joie de vivre and optimism.

On Thursday, you will be enchanted by Frida Gold, whose music is now firmly inscribed in the collective pop memory - above all because it never fades and still strikes a chord today. Frida Gold don't want to explain the world, they want to keep it open - for all those who move between longing and reality. Support comes from 3 Miles To Essex, consisting of four friends who together formed Wingenfelder's backing band on their final tour in 2024.

On Friday, we can look forward to MoTrip, one of the most successful and highly regarded German rappers. Through his participation in ‘Sing meinen Song’ 2020, MoTrip shows a whole new side of himself. MoTrip doesn't just rap, he sings about his own personal stories and makes the songs his own. Mo Trip will be supported by BENSH, who will surprise you with a unique mix of Afrobeats, R&B and post-everything pop.

General information

Revolverheld

They are one of the most successful bands in German pop/rock, have become an integral part of radio and TV in this country, released a new version of their big hit ‘Halt dich an mir fest’ on 29 November 2024 and are going on a ‘20 Jahre Open Airs’ tour this summer. But that's not all! In November and December 2025, Revolverheld will celebrate their anniversary with a big arena tour! This will be the last opportunity to see the successful Hamburg band live for the time being: Revolverheld will take a break after the tour - for the first time in their career. Photo: Simon Stöckl

Florian Künstler

Strong lyrics, deep emotions - Florian Künstler is a singer and storyteller whose warm pop songs give courage and comfort in difficult times like these. Characterised by his life, the songwriter from Lübeck knows exactly what he is telling his fans. He is a born performer who has learnt the hard way as a street musician and is therefore used to always having to give his all to be listened to. Florian Künstler can carry an audience along and lead them. When he sings his acoustic songwriter music, the room shakes. With his authentic and charming manner, he creates very special moments in the audience. Photo: Ben Wolf

Stefanie Heinzmann

Since Stefanie Heinzmann won TV entertainer Stefan Raab's talent show in 2008 with her unmistakable vocals, she has had an impressive career. It is not only her musical development that is remarkable - from an impulsive soul singer to a modern pop artist. The incredible versatility with which the woman from Valais has shaped her career is also fascinating. With her undisguised presence, she not only inspires audiences on the concert stage, but also in film and television, at shows and major events. Stefanie Heinzmann has already released six albums and won numerous awards for them - including the Echo, Comet, 1Live Krone and the MTV Europe Music Awards. Photo: Carsten Christoph Burggraf

Frida Gold

Frida Gold - a name that evokes melodies. ‘Wovon sollen wir träumen’, “Liebe ist meine Rebellion” - songs that have inscribed themselves in the collective pop memory. Platinum, gold, big stages, tours through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. But more important than numbers and statistics is the resonance: music that doesn't fade because it hits a nerve. Andi Weizel and Alina Süggeler come from the Ruhr region, an area that never vies loudly for attention, but ensures that people stay. They don't want to explain the world, they want to keep it open - for all those who move between longing and reality. This summer in St. Peter-Ording, with old and new songs. Maybe for dancing, maybe for pausing. Either would be nice.

MoTrip

MoTrip was born on 7 March 1988 in the Lebanese capital Beirut with the real name Mohamed El Moussaoui. Just over 30 years later, he is one of the most important, most respected and most successful German rappers. Through his participation in ‘Sing meinen Song’ 2020, MoTrip shows a whole new side of himself. He impresses with emotional song versions of the other artists in a way that has rarely been seen on the TV show. MoTrip doesn't just rap, he sings about his own personal stories and makes the songs his own. In doing so, he not only moves the other artists on the couch to tears, but an entire TV audience. This makes the otherwise tough-looking rapper shine in a whole new light: An emotional, intelligent young man who simply knows how to use words.

WIM

It's been around three years since Hamburg-based indie pop artist WIM made a name for herself with her debut album BOXER. Light-footed, melancholic indie pop songs such as AN MANCHEN TAGEN and LÖWENHERZ got the Hamburg-based artist onto many a radio playlist across Germany, in front of the camera on the music format TV Noir and ultimately onto numerous stages large and small. And anyone who has experienced WIM as a support act for Alin Coen, Lina Maly or Jupiter Jones, for example, knows what magic can happen at a concert: the intimate atmosphere, the fragility, the lightness, the catchy melodies - and above all the accuracy of both the clever, poetic lyrics and the humorous announcements. Lina Bó

Lina Bó ... Rhenish-Cuban temperament meets Danish Flensburg serenity. The songs are sometimes melancholic, sometimes danceable, full of joie de vivre and optimism. South American exoticism mixed with German folk pop is reminiscent of the best times of Zaz and Manu Chaos. The band stands for peace and respect, against war and intolerance, for joie de vivre and hope. Lina Bó, that's Lina (Celina von Wrochem) and Bó (Luca Bo Hansen). They met in 2018 while studying music at the Artez in the Netherlands and have been making music together ever since.

3 Miles To Essex

What began as a duo and toured Germany as support for Fury in the Slaughterhouse in 2023 has now developed into a breathtaking band. Four friends whose musical paths crossed again and again and who together formed the backing band for Wingenfelder on their final tour in 2024. The critics and commentators were quick to agree - ‘anything is possible with this band!’ And so the end of Wingenfelder marked the beginning of 3 miles to Essex as a band.

BENSH

Benjamin Asare has been through music once. He has written songs for some of Germany's biggest stars, torn up the country's stages with Peter Fox and done pretty much every job imaginable in a studio. As Fox's sidekick and congenial partner-in-vibes, he helped turn concerts into real parties with maximum endorphin levels. With his new solo project, he has finally come into his own: As BENSH, he combines the universal power of a good song with a unique sound between Afrobeats, R&B and post-everything pop.
